Sour Cream Mashed Potato Recipe
Makes 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
Place pot on stove on medium-high heat filled halfway with water and bring to a boil
While water is heating, chop up potatoes into 1 inch pieces and place in boiling water and let boil for 10-12 minutes until fully cooked.
When the potatoes are done cooking pour the boiling water and potatoes into a colander , which is placed in the sink and strain out the water
Then put the fully cooked potatoes in a mixing bowl (while still hot, so the butter melts easily) and add the salt, butter, and sour cream and mix together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy
Let cool for 10 minutes and serve
- 8 cups chopped up Yukon Gold Potatoes (if you can't find Yukon Gold Potatoes, used Redskin Potatoes)
- 1 Stick of Butter
- 2/3 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 Large pot filled 1/2 way with water
- 1 large mixing bowl
- 1 electric mixer
- 1 colander
